Skybound Mechanics

★★★★☆ 4.3 Editor rating

Skybound Mechanics scratches a very specific itch: building something from parts and then watching it almost work. You assemble airships out of salvaged pieces, test them over scrolling landscapes, and slowly learn why your last design nosed straight into a mountain. It's funny and a little addictive.

The sandbox is generous, and the physics are forgiving enough to stay fun rather than fiddly. Dragging parts around works well on a touchscreen, which isn't a given for this kind of game.

There's no real pressure, just the quiet joy of a contraption finally staying in the air. I lost an evening to it without noticing.
