Legends of Slots
Legends of Slots turned out to be a lot more laid-back than I expected. At its core it's a casual arcade game where you line up matching symbols across spinning reels, and the whole thing is built around rhythm and timing rather than anything stressful. You tap to stop the reels, and the satisfaction comes from the little animations and sound cues when things line up.
The controls are about as simple as it gets, which is the point. One-handed play works perfectly on the train, and the game respects your time with short sessions. I liked that it never nagged me to keep playing; I could put it down after five minutes and come back later without losing my progress.
What stood out most was the visual polish. The symbols have real character, the themes shift as you move through different 'legends,' and the background art quietly changes to match. It's the kind of gentle game you keep on your phone for idle moments.
